I have semi-conquered my fear of riding my bike in traffic!
This week, I braved the roads and cycled into work. It was a lovely ride, with a stop at my pilates studio half way there, & a beautiful coffee waiting for me at my final destination.
Although I must admit that coming back later that day was a bit painful. It seems that going into town is a little downhill. And coming home I encountered a strong headwind which made my ears so cold and sore & my legs kept cramping everytime I had to stop at the traffic lights. BUT, I made it home in one piece. And I will do it again!
I have some extremely good memories of bike riding in Europe & I even managed to dig up the photos to prove just how young and energetic we were…
This was taken in Amsterdam. Oh Amsterdam! How I loved it there. It was actually my 24th birthday. We hired bikes and rode out to a cheese & clog factory. In the rain.
These ones were taken in Loire Valley, France. We had the best time. We camped for such a ridiculously cheap price & rode our bikes out to wineries and castles.
